  • BACKGROUND DETAILS

    Sumatra Wahana Estate coffee is sourced from the Wahana Estate located near the town of Sidikalang along the shores of Lake Toba which was formed from a supervolcano, in the province of North Sumatra on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. The Wahana Estate cultivates 250 hectares of coffee and preserves 100 hectares of natural forest. The estate also has a mill facility, composting factoryfree health clinic and farmers’ support center, which offers shade trees, organic fertilizer, coffee seeds, and farm management training for small producers in the region.
